One of the most important functions of parents is as role models to ensure that their children grow up to be good parents themselves. A person’s own approach to raising kids will be molded by the parenting methods they themselves have been exposed to. It’s only natural to want your children to experience the same things you loved as a kid. Likewise, if your parents forced you into doing something you didn’t like, you will be careful not to subject your own children to the same. Self-help books may help somewhat in preparing for a firstborn; however, you can never truly plan for the challenges of parenthood. Many people worry about raising the perfect child. They may find it extremely stressful if some of their parenting methods aren’t as effective as they’d hoped. This quest for perfection in a child isn’t necessarily what’s best for them, and the bitter pill to swallow is that sometimes failure is good.
The reality of life is that almost all of us will experience failure at one time or another. Rather than sheltering children from this unpleasant truth, it’s in fact better for them to learn how to overcome failure and progress. It’s important for children to understand that despite how much failing at something may hurt, there are plenty of opportunities to still move forward or even rectify what went wrong. This will result in a child who’s much better suited to the real world. It’s important for a child to see the potential benefits of failure. Not getting picked for the school team will undoubtedly be a horrible experience, but this will allow them to explore other avenues, perhaps discover something they are naturally talented at as well as something they enjoy. If not taught how to deal with this, such a scenario could mean they focus on the negatives which can be mentally depressing. Failure can also be a huge source of encouragement. Failing at something you love may inspire you to work extra harder in the future to avoid the situation repeating. The ability to overcome failure is an indispensable quality for any young person.
Oozing innocence and cuteness, kids, cats, and dogs have long dominated the world of viral internet videos. The latest clip being shared across social media shows a young girl giving her adorably insightful views on equal rights for men and women. Channel 4’s The Secret Life of 5-Year-Olds lifts the lid on playground antics and documents the interactions between children at school. During one episode, comments about girls made by one of the young boys caused a stir. Little Eva was quick to defend her fellow woman and give her take on gender equality. Despite her age, the young girl showed wisdom beyond her years. Championing women's suffrage, she spoke about the sacrifices made by the suffragettes and stressed the importance of both working and voting for girls when they grow up.
Eva was adamant that boys and girls are the same and that jobs and hobbies should be for both genders equally. After fellow youngster Jude expressed his view that women can’t be scientists, Eva was quick to highlight her own scientific accomplishments, telling the crew how she once extracted DNA from a banana. To show just how competent girls are, Eva decided to demonstrate some of her impressive Karate skills, showing Judge a thing or two. The professionals analyzing her behavior were extremely impressed with her competency as a teacher, noting that her teaching capacities exceeded her age. The two-child psychologist also concluded that despite his sexist comments, Eva made a lasting impression on young Jude, with him eventually admitting that she is “tough and strong like the Hulk.” Eva encapsulates what it means to be a true feminist. Standing up to Jude’s after his inconsiderate remarks, the youngster showed just how independent, resolute, and determined young girls can be. There’s no doubt the suffragettes would be extremely proud of Eva’s actions.
